The only other difference is better materials than were available back then. The British Army Arktis DPM 42 pattern Chest Rig in excellent condition is a not-issued webbing from the Gulf War era, specifically designed for use by Special Forces etc. Made famous during the first Gulf War by British forces, and has since seen use with SAS’s Bravo Two Zero and Special Forces operating in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of our employees (A former Royal Marine) decided to clear up his garage. Eventually I sold it off while at Ft Bragg and replaced it with an OD US made rig but I’ve often missed it. It is now in wide use by Special Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Sep 4, 2009 · I've got an issue chest rig which is quite good, but being able to drop it down a bit more would be more comfortable when dismounted and the central opening looks a bit more comfortable if I have to go prone. Among some Overwhites, DPM clothing & LBVs was this white classic chest rig.
